At the age of 16, the Founder and CEO of Generic Aadhaar venture promises to bring life-saving High-Quality medicines at affordable prices to community. It was all started when he saw a serious issue which made him understand that, despite of being that our country is a center of pharmaceutical producers and suppliers, our own individuals has to invest heavily on critical drugs. He won't encourage his age stand in the way of an original concept.

His parents are undoubtedly supportive and pillars of strength towards his way of working. Arjun did not keep his thought limited to paper rather he worked on it to proved himself and gained some achievements, and then went in front of parents with some success. “If you want to achieve significant activity that is in favor of not only you but also the masses, it will probably become pillar of strength for you." –Arjun stated to The HULAHUL Times.

Arjun wanted to give rise to a new paradigm in the pharmaceutical industry in which everyone benefits. He recognized the issue, devised a solution, and now it was time for a robust implementation. He was certain that progress would come, although gradually. Generic Aadhaar has disrupted the traditional pharmaceutical sector and is determined to empower single-store owners and share the benefit to the end user. Through a unique pharmacy-aggregator business model, Generic Aadhaar distributes high-quality medicine at up to 80% discount from manufacturers directly to end-users, reducing middle-chain costs like as marketing, distribution, stocking, and supply chain.

His concept is to unite small medical shops that were suffering due to intense competition .Arjun believes that young entrepreneurs have the potential to transform the Indian economy, thus his venture is providing them with opportunity to start their own enterprises. They are not climbing alone, but rather grasping these young people's hands and guiding them toward a common goal.

Entering a market with giant companies that were powerful and established and beginning from scratch was a significant challenge in itself. It is unfortunate that, despite the fact that India is being the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing hub for generic drugs, our own people are unable to benefit. As a result, it was additional problem to convince them that there is no difference between generic and branded medications. Generic Aadhaar began with ground-level initiatives to raise awareness of generic drugs, using a unique business model and free health camps. After a point of time Generic Aadhaar work began to receive a positive response and demand from people.

During the Corona crisis, when many people lost their jobs and unemployment was at an all-time high, Generic Aadhaar provided work to thousands of people and assisted them in starting their own businesses by providing franchises. Every franchise store was delivering medications at a discounted rate. Generic Aadhaar provided free of charge medication to the needy people, Front-line staff and coronaries were even given complimentary first-aid kits and also the Remdesivir injections were even given away for free. As a result, Generic Aadhaar was in high demand in such a short period of time. In 2019, the first Generic Aadhaar franchise was launched in 'Thane.' Today, it employs over 300 employees in the team, and it has provided direct and indirect employment to over 10,000 people. Generic Aadhaar has produced 1500 micro-enterprises across India.

It has generated a lot of buzz on various social media platforms, and this has aroused the interest of Sir Ratan Tata. He was amazed by the venture and witnessed how it is bringing the change in the pharmaceutical business for improved healthcare in our country. Sir Ratan Tata added “Arjun if this venture succeed, it will change the entire ecosystem of healthcare for the betterment of India. We shared the same mission and vision of determination in serving people and enthusiastically endorsed the Generic Aadhaar”.

The market for Generic Aadhaar has reached to Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and UAE. It is rapidly approaching its aim of providing medicines at a fair cost to 130 million Indians, and it will soon spread globally. Generic Aadhaar has its franchise in 150+ cities with a portfolio of 1000+ products across India. It has created direct and indirect employment for around 8000 people.

Arjun Deshpande has been honoured with many prestigious awards for his noble contribution to the country, including the Indian Young Achiever of the Year 2020, The Indian Achievers Forum India, India's youngest entrepreneur Arjun Deshpande is now in the 40 under 40 achiever's \list 2021 by Business World Magazine.

In 2021, Generic Aadhaar created history in pharmacy world by opening 22 franchisees in a single day throughout India to serve our nation's ordinary man. Arjun believes that in the next three years, it will establish a promising presence throughout India by on boarding 15000 stores and employing the same number of micro-entrepreneurs.
