SUCCESS COMES TO THOSE WHO WORK HARD FOR IT

Naresh Jain

Naresh Jain is a successful entrepreneur headquartered in Nagaland's Dimapur area. He was born on February 14, 1964, in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, but relocated to Sikar, Rajasthan, after a period of time. He comes from a family of five siblings. His father was ailing, and he had seen poverty in his family since he was a toddler, so he only finished 8th grade. Living in a one-bedroom house with a family of seven was extremely difficult for him, and it made his childhood days difficult in comparison to other children his age. Looking at his family's financial situation and wanting to help them in any way at the age of eleven, he began selling vegetables on the side of the road for nearly two years, but this idea of his did not last long and resulted in some harsh life lessons. To support his family; on February 6, 1979 at the age of 15, he moved to Jorhat, Assam, where his elder brother already was working. He began his first job as a salesman at his uncle's textile firm. His monthly salary was Rs.100, and Naresh Jain was dissatisfied. When he discussed this with his uncle, he refused to raise the salary and humiliated him, telling him that whatever he was getting from here, he should be grateful for. You don't deserve it any less. His uncle's words inspired him to take the next step in his life. This enraged Naresh Jain, who felt insulted, and prompted him to resign from his position.

After leaving this job, Naresh Jain went to see his elder brother and told him his entire story. Later, he took a new job, which he will keep for the next seven months. He then went to work for a gas company. He learned about bookkeeping and accounting while working at this job. He had now been away from his family for nearly 1.8 years, and during that time, He even planned to visit his parents several times, and when he did get a chance to visit his parents, he learned of his father's sad demise, and due to a lack of communication, he did not receive the news of his father on time. Since his return from his village, both of his brothers have begun to earn well, allowing the family's financial situation to stabilize. But he had always wished that his father could have seen such changes.

After three years of working for a gas agency, he was assisted by a lady from Jorhat in joining Escorts Automobile showroom. He began as a cashier but handled a variety of jobs, and as a result of his hard work and dedication, he was transferred and promoted to Branch Manager in their Pvt Ltd firm in Dimapur on March 29, 1984. "Despite my lack of qualifications, I was able to obtain the position of Branch Manager at Escorts Automobile due to my hard work." Naresh Jain told to The HULAHUL Times. He worked here for four years and was instrumental in propelling the firm's achievements to new heights.

In 1987, he and his three brothers established their own firm, Mohit Saris, in Dimapur. At the same time, he continued to work at his previous job. In 1988, he left his job at Escorts and began looking for options in government supply, eventually starting the Salt business under government distributorship in 1990. Meanwhile, in 1992, they acquired the Hindustan Unilever Limited dealership and began working on their products. During his time at HUL, he decided to launch a salt brand and met with some salt manufacturers in Gujarat. In 2002, they launched a new salt brand called "Everyday" in the Dimapur market. Everyday salt's factory is located in Gandhidham, Gujarat, and employs 300 people. It produces a large amount of refined salt each year, which is distributed throughout the country. Now, "Everyday" salt is one of the most popular brands throughout the entire north east region. Following that, he became the most well-known entrepreneur in North East India. He never looked back from this point in his life.

Naresh Jain is involved in a variety of social activities in addition to his business. During the Covid crisis, he helped people by distributing 1000 food packets in Guwahati surrounding areas. In an effort to unite in the fight against Covid, he donated a cheque for Rs.2.51 Lakhs to the CM Relief Fund and distributed 10,000 masks throughout the north east region to combat the pandemic. Every year, he and his team set up flood relief camps in flood-prone areas of Nagaland. Furthermore, with the assistance of the Nagaland Government, he distributed 20,000 kg of free salt to various families in Nagaland, as well as 250 PPE kits to frontline workers in Dimapur.

He is always looking for ways to empower women by giving them opportunities to showcase their talent. In 2015, he launched "North East Dancing Best Moms," a competition in which housewives from across the region compete to show off their skills. "Rangdhali" was introduced in 2016; it is a digital platform where participants can perform using digital technology; this event is sponsored by "Everyday" Salt. Inspired by Naresh Jain's struggle, an Assam writer Babita Komal wrote a book about his life titled "Zameen se Aasman ki Aur," which received a tremendous response.

Naresh Jain's life serves as an example for all of us. He has demonstrated that with dedication and hard work, one can achieve anything in life. He has had many ups and downs in his life, but he has always remained committed to his goals. His journey has been recognized by many, and he has since received numerous recognitions and awards from the state government, departments of the federal government, and numerous non-governmental organizations.
